Photography is an extension of my painting where I explore the outer cosmos to uncover it's inner magic. It allows me to capture fleeting moments of shape and color. A way to play between the literal and the abstract nature of this world.
Photography has taught me to pay close attention to the magnificent and magical world I live in- a string of perfectly round water crystal hanging from a spiders web, pollen bursting from the center of a poppy, or the intricate fabric of a butterfly's wings- and share a single small moment in a larger-than-life expression. ~ Jody
